Weather Stuff:
The north easterly air flow has brought in the low scud cloud to the coast with some very light drizzle here and there. The Sat pic for 12pm today shows an interesting area of “local” circulation evident by the spiralling cloud near King Island, (See Photo). There is a possibility that a trough over the mainland may cause some unstable conditions over the next few days but just how unstable, who knows?
February has seen a cooling off and still a tendency for more westerly flows which certainly hasn’t been the trend for many years. Summer usually sees frequent easterly flows with rather humid conditions. Last week seen snow on Mt Wellington one morning but by the end of that day the max temp was around 27’C. I feel autumn is just around the corner.
Fishing Stuff:
Visited Lamberts Dam a couple of Sunday’s ago and most of the algae has cleared. The insect activity was quite amazing and some fish were rising about the place. I managed to hook, what appeared to be a rainbow, on an Alpha lure but lost it due to some technical gear problems. Last Friday arvo I flicked a grasshopper about the Mersey. Only seen little fish working the water.
