"What is it with tackle shop people?"

Weather Stuff:

There is a weak ridge moving away from Tassie today as a cold front approaches. The BOM have floated the possibility of thunderstorms but I can’t see any triggers for this to occur at this early stage. At the moment, there are no feeds to the tropical airflows and the cloud band appears weak and disorganised.

Fishing Stuff:

What is it with tackle shop people? From my experience, they are always full of advice but never listen when you have something to say to them. So where does their knowledge come from? Most of them rarely get to fish because they are working in the shop. May be they listen just to a select group of regulars that frequent the store? Why is most of their advice crap? Perhaps it’s because these “sources” they use bend the truth? Perhaps it’s because they have a particular line of tackle they need to clear? My advice to anyone new to fishing would be, don’t talk to tackle shop people, talk to people who actually fish and who you can trust to tell the truth.

Oh yeah – “squidgies are the way to go!” ;-)
